AI4COPSEC partner Università Politecnica delle Marche (UNIVPM) will participate at the upcoming GeoAI 2025 – Artificial Intelligence for Geospatial Data, to be held on 18–19 December 2025 at Politecnico di Torino, Italy — an event that UNIVPM is also co-organising.
GeoAI 2025 is organised by a national committee led by Politecnico di Torino, with co-organisation from Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK), Università Politecnica delle Marche (UNIVPM), and Università di Macerata. The event brings together researchers, developers and practitioners working on AI for 2D/3D geospatial data, with talks, demos and discussions aimed at consolidating a strong Italian GeoAI community.
Within the GeoAI program, UNIVPM will share first-year progress from AI4COPSEC. AI4COPSEC is advancing GeoAI for Copernicus-enabled maritime and border surveillance, fusing heterogeneous data sources (satellite EO, vessel signals and complementary streams) to improve situational awareness for environmental and security-related maritime challenges.
GeoAI 2025 will also feature invited lectures from NVIDIA on Federated Learning, offering industry insight into distributed, privacy-aware AI approaches increasingly relevant to large-scale geospatial applications.
