The overall objective of AI4COPSEC is to develop advanced AI/ML methods and models to process heterogeneous data sources including satellite-based EO data (optical, SAR, infrared, S-AIS), ground-based data sources (AIS), media and social media data (OSINT), in-situ environmental measurements (IoT) to provide near real-time intelligence in the CSS.
AI4COPSEC concept can be decomposed into four focused areas or objectives:

Integrating Multiple Data Sources
Analyse and integrate multiple space and non-space data sources (EO, AIS, OSINT, IoT) to provide high-quality environmental and security information.

Advancing AI/ML Models
Develop and test advanced self-supervised AI/ML models (Geomatics/GeoAI, deep learning) for anomaly detection and faster decision-making.

Enhancing Maritime & Border Surveillance
Develop modular technological solutions (REA, SOD, SHI, EVD, AAD, DAN) for enhanced maritime and border surveillance.

CSS Near Real-Time Intelligence
Demonstrate AI4COPSEC solutions in the operational Copernicus Security Service (CSS) environment, focusing on near real-time event detection and localisation.
