The AI4COPSEC project will be presented at the upcoming European Commission workshop “Artificial Intelligence and Earth Observation: from Innovation to Services”, taking place on 9–10 March 2026 as a hybrid event hosted in Brussels and online.
Organised by the European Commission Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DG DEFIS), with the support of HaDEA, the event brings together Copernicus and DestinE users, Earth observation service providers, policy makers, industry, academia and IT experts to explore how AI, machine learning, big data, HPC and digital twins are transforming Earth observation services.
During the event, Ai4COPSEC will be presented by the project coordinator, Yann Guichoux, from eOdyn, highlighting how advanced AI-driven approaches can enhance the exploitation of Copernicus data for security-related applications. The presentation will underline the project’s contribution to the development of trustworthy, scalable and operational Earth observation services, in line with the event’s focus on innovation-to-service pathways and strengthened Copernicus–DestinE synergies as preparations begin for the next Multiannual Financial Framework (2028–2034).
The workshop will feature keynote speeches, technical briefings, panel discussions and hands-on demonstrations, offering an important forum to exchange experiences and shape the future of the Earth observation–AI ecosystem in Europe.
