Our partner Aistech recently participated in the Space-Comm Expo in London, held from March 10-12, 2025 and took the opportunity for the first dissemination acitvities of the AI4COPSEC project. This premier event brought together leading stakeholders from the aerospace, defense, and security sectors, providing AI4COPSEC with a significant platform for dissemination and engagement.
Strengthening Industry Engagement and Collaboration
Throughout the event, our Aistech partners actively engaged with key industry players, fostering meaningful discussions and exploring potential collaboration opportunities in AI-driven security applications. Discussions with EnduroSat focused on potential synergies in modular satellite platforms, particularly in the realm of remote sensing applications. Discusssions took place also with Northumbria University’s NESST project, which is funded by Lockheed Martin and the UK Space Agency, revealing promising opportunities for collaboration in satellite technology, space weather forecasting, and AI applications. Our representatives also met with CGI to discuss mutual interests in AI-driven security applications, leading to plans for further technical and business development discussions. Furthermore, the project AI4COPSEC was introduced to ICEX (Spain Trade & Investment), which expressed interest in supporting initiatives aligned with European security and defense strategies.
Key Engagements and Strategic Discussions
The Space-Comm Expo 2025 proved to be a valuable event for AI4CopSEC’s outreach efforts, reinforcing its presence within the aerospace and defense ecosystem. The project successfully broadened its network, strengthened industry ties, and positioned itself as a key player in AI-driven security applications.
Looking ahead, AI4COPSEC plans to pursue follow-up discussions with EnduroSat, Northumbria University, CGI, and ICEX to further explore collaboration opportunities. These efforts will enhance AI applications in security and defense while ensuring alignment with Copernicus-related activities and broader European strategic goals.
