We are excited to have officially kicked off AI4COPSEC on 16-17 December in Oslo, Norway.
Hosted by the AI4COPSEC project coordinator Simula Research Laboratory, our interdisciplinary consortium featuring ten partners from seven European countries, including eOdyn (the project’s technical coordinator), Hozint – Horizon Intelligence, ITML, IMT Atlantique, Aistech Space, SatCen, Magellan Circle, Università Politecnica delle Marche, and Guardia Civil came together for the first time to align on the project’s strategic vision and objectives and set the stage for the next 36 months of collaboration.
AI4COPSEC is a Horizon Europe project aiming to enhance the Copernicus Security Service (CSS) by integrating cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies, to drive significant advancements in how Europe addresses security challenges at sea.
The meeting was a fitting opportunity to kick off discussions on the project’s technical activities, data management, and use cases. A wide space was also dedicated to the communication and outreach efforts, which will play a crucial role in raising awareness and fostering engagement across Europe, showcasing the project’s innovations and impact.
